Billing Just Got Simpler at Comet Backup

BLOGS

We’ve been listening to your feedback and looking for ways to make managing your Comet account easier — including making billing simpler to understand. 🚀

Comet devices and eligible boosters are now billed once per calendar month instead of every 30 days.

It’s a straightforward change designed to make billing dates more predictable and easier to follow. Here’s what you need to know.

What’s changing?

Previously, Comet devices and eligible boosters were billed every 30 days. Now, each is billed once per calendar month.

For example, if a device is billed on January 1, its next charge will be February 1 — rather than January 31.

This makes it easier to understand when to expect your next charge and keep track of your monthly billing.

What does this mean for my account?

There’s nothing you need to do. Your billing follows the new monthly schedule automatically.

What isn’t changing?

This update applies to Comet devices and eligible boosters only. Comet Storage, plans, and VM boosters (Hyper-V, VMware, Proxmox) will continue to bill as they do today.

More improvements are on the way

We know that clear, predictable billing makes managing your business easier. That’s why we’re listening to customer feedback and continuing to look for ways to improve the Comet experience.

This is one step toward making billing simpler and easier to understand. We’ll keep working to make the day-to-day experience of managing your backups as straightforward as possible.

Thanks for being part of the Comet crew.
